As we approach the Fall 2024 session of the Computer Tots Program, we reflect on the incredible journey we've had so far. For the past four years, Jennifer McCullough and JaChrissia "Cree" Williams have been the driving forces behind the program, investing their time, energy, and expertise to create a robust and engaging online platform for young learners. Their hard work and dedication have provided countless students in grades 1st through 3rd with the essential typing and computer skills needed for the digital age.
Jennifer and Cree's commitment to the program has been unwavering. From setting up the initial infrastructure to ensuring that every detail was in place for our students to succeed, their contributions have been invaluable. As they step back from their roles, we want to express our deepest gratitude for their years of service. The Computer Tots Program would not be where it is today without their vision and leadership.
As Jennifer and Cree take a step back into a supportive consulting role, we are excited to introduce our new Program Chairman, Jessica Chavers. Jessica comes to us with an impressive background in child development and education. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from the University of South Florida and brings a wealth of experience from her role as an educator within the Hillsborough County School District, where she creates weekly lesson plans in alignment with Florida State Standards, incorporates technology into her teaching, maintains regular contact with parents, attends faculty and team meetings, participates in parent conferences, and continually seeks to improve her skills through professional development.
We are confident that Jessica's experience, passion for education, and dedication to child development will lead the Computer Tots Program to new heights. Under her leadership, we look forward to continuing our mission of providing young students with the foundational skills they need to thrive in the digital world.
